Tarangire National Park:

This is the first park after we entered to Tanzania.  I (Meg) am always excited to cross a border by land since I come from an island country.

This is a National Park covering 1,360 sq km (525 sq miles), which is not so large in African park standard but has seven diverse environments of woodland, open bush, plains, swamps and rivers and stands of palm trees.  Also there are many Baobab trees which are so neat.

One area with lush acacia and palm trees with a swampy waterhole looked like Solomonesque paradise fitted with gamut of large African creatures.
