Lake Nakuru National Park:
This is a bird watchers' paradise, especially if you like
flamingos and pelicans. It is a small park, only 24 square miles, about the same size as Manhattan.
It consists mostly of the caustic lake, with a small band of land around it. Although it was created as a
bird sancutary, there are also Black Rhinos, Rothschild Giraffes, Hippopotami and more.
The population of flamingos varies with the seasons but can be well over a million. There seem to
be as many White Pelicans as well.
Unlike other game parks we could get out of the car and walk around. You might notice our camera angle was a bit lower than others.
